Cooking Classes

Roberto arrives in the afternoon with the ingredients and prepares in your villa kitchen while your day continues. Dinner begins at the time agreed with you. Three or four courses follow the pace of the table, depending on the menu you chose, with Roberto introducing the dishes when it adds to the evening. Afterwards, the kitchen and equipment used are left clean and in order.

Groceries for dinners: Roberto does the shopping for you and you pay back the receipts on the day. For the rest, if you want it, we tell you who supplies it and invoices you directly.

The price includes menu planning, preparation at the villa, the dinner service or the class, and cleaning of the kitchen and equipment used. In cooking classes the ingredients are included too. For dinners, Roberto does the shopping for you: the groceries are paid separately on the day of the dinner, at cost (usually from about €50 in total). Drinks, wine, flowers, rentals and table styling are separate. When requested, we can introduce an independent local supplier who will confirm their own price, terms and invoice directly with you.

How does booking work?

  1. Choose

The experience, the date, the place, the number of guests and the menu: you see the final price before you pay.

  2. Hold the date

A 30 per cent deposit holds the date; the balance is due 14 days before.

  3. Confirm the details

Before the service we confirm allergies, intolerances, children and the details of your villa kitchen together.

  4. The evening

Roberto arrives in the afternoon with everything he needs, cooks, serves, and leaves the kitchen the way he found it.

Phenomenal. Totally blown away by the quality, presentation, and service of the meal. Hired for very intimate family dinner. Everyone was so pleased. Absolutely satisfied.

Good food and very nice people. Not gourmet food but decent and nice tasting. I Would recommend. Only thing missing was probably a representation of the food. Overall a very good experience

We had such a wonderful evening learning from Chef Roberto and tasting his food (and ours) following the class. He came to our rented villa in Chianti and spent 5 hours with us teaching, laughing and savoring the incredible pastas and almond cantucci we asked to learn about! I think we all feel so much more confident about trying this at home and had such a fun time together! I can’t recommend Chef Roberto highly enough!

Practical questions before you book

Is our villa kitchen good enough?

Before confirming the booking, we ask a few practical questions and may request photographs of the kitchen: the hob, oven, refrigeration and available work space. A professional kitchen is not required. Knowing the space in advance allows Roberto to plan the work in that kitchen and decide what equipment to bring.

We have allergies in the group: is that a problem?

Tell us about allergies, intolerances and dietary choices when you book, not on the night. We treat allergies as a safety matter and confirm in writing what we can guarantee: in a villa kitchen we cannot rule out all cross-contamination, and we would rather tell you that in advance than reassure you and be wrong. Preferences are handled with alternatives already built into the menu.

How many people can you cook for?

Every listed experience is available for two to 25 guests. A service minimum applies to smaller groups and is shown before payment. Groups above 25 require a personal review and tailored proposal.

Which areas do you cover?

Siena and its province are home. Florence, Chianti, Val d'Orcia, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Cortona and Lucca are all within reach. Travel is included within 1.5 hours of Siena; beyond that we tell you the cost before you book, and further afield we may ask you to arrange a room.
